Top 5 Social Apps on Android in the Middle East Q1 2024

During the first quarter of 2024, the top five social apps on the Android platform in the Middle East, namely TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok Lite - Save Data, and Facebook Lite, exhibited diverse trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

TikTok saw its weekly revenue start at around $1.2M, declining to approximately $0.87M by the end of March. Weekly downloads fluctuated, beginning with 214K in early January and ending with an uptick to 175K in late March. The app maintained a stable number of weekly active users, hovering around 19.8M throughout the quarter.

Facebook reported a consistent weekly revenue of about $28K to $33K. Downloads spiked notably in the week of March 4, reaching 347K, but generally ranged between 137K and 175K. Active users showed an increase, peaking at 22.8M in early March and stabilizing at approximately 22.3M by late March.

Instagram experienced a weekly revenue increase from $18K to $27K by the end of the quarter. Weekly downloads showed slight fluctuations, with a low of 117K in mid-March and a high of 157K in early January. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 17M throughout the quarter.

TikTok Lite - Save Data had minimal revenue, peaking at $37 in late February. Weekly downloads ranged from 70K to 119K, with a notable peak in mid-February. Active users consistently hovered around 1.5M.

Facebook Lite did not generate any revenue during this period. Downloads peaked at 172K in early March but generally ranged between 66K and 94K. The app maintained around 1.9M active users, with a slight increase in early March.
